LITERATURE: The plot, the poem and the play!

Secondary students are now focusing on writing. They are trying to improve their writing skills through stories, including detective stories, adventure stories, horror stories, science-fiction stories, love stories and fairy tales.
Related to LITERATURE, this second unit focuses on narrative, drama and poetry. Students are going to learn the most important features of all the narrative genres that appear in this unit. They have already gone to the theatre where they have enjoyed with  "The strange case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde", one of the Robert Louis Stevenson's most famous plays performed by extraordinary stage actors.

During this term, there are different learning techniques students are going to deal with. For example, reading magazines, comics, letters, etc, is going to help them quite a lot. Building up vocabulary is also going to be very useful so that their writings become interesting to read. Working on grammar is going to be an important key for them to improve their writing skills. Listening activities are going to help them improve their comprehension level of English.

They are going to have the opportunity to get into a magical world with just a click. For that, BURLINGTON ACTIVITY READERS STUDENT'S ZONE will help them to read for fun!
Click on the title below if you want to listen to the story. ( Go to Readers: Original series) You can choose any of the activities provided to understand the stories better.
I encourage you to concentrate and keep trying to improve your level of English.

Students are now working on " THE MAGIC PEN", an interesting story that happens in the past, in Durham in 1906.
